White Pine, Land and Human
Let's talk about the white pine and its relationship to humans. In natural world, there are all kinds of the living things which coexist and depend on each other and the earth for food, shelter and space.
Now we have humans on the scene. What's the value of white pine to humans? The trees can provide us with lumber for building our houses, fuel to cook and keep us warm in the winter, and we also want the land that once was home of the white pine to produce food for human consumption which we call agriculture. By logging and farming and other economic activities, land use change is happening on a daily bases.
