Petoskey

Petoskey is the home of the state rock of Michigan, the Petoskey stone.  It is a fossilized colony coral that can often be found on beaches, dunes, and gravel pit areas.  Petoskey also features several parks, campgrounds, and museums.  Petoskey also bills itself as the home of the "million dollar sunsets."

Petoskey also features a six-block long Victorian district.  Art galleries, restaurants, and shops that date back to the mid-19th century can be found here.  Also, many historic and scenic homes dot the streets of Petoskey.
