Fort Wilkins State Park

Fort Wilkins State Park depicts Northern Michigan military life of the mid 19th century.  The highlight is a series of original, restored, and reconstructed buildings from the mid 1800's that show the frontier lifestyle for visitors.  Army reinactments and exhibits at the fort aid in portraying life in a time long gone.  Also in the park is the Copper Harbor Lighthouse and museum which features maritime exhibits and shipwreck information.  Beyond the historic aspects of the area, 165 campsites allow visitors a place to bed down for the night.
