Fayette State Park

The Fayette State Park features the Fayette Historic Townsite, a scale model recreation of the town built around the Jackson Iron Company smelting operation.  The Jackson Iron Company shut down in 1891, but the Fayette Historic Townsite keeps the spirit of the past alive through museum exhibits, a visitor center, and a walking tour through the reproduction of the iron smelting company.
